Appointments are offered Monday through Thursday, 8 AM to 6 PM CST, through telehealth (via video or phone). Evening slots (5 PM and 6 PM CST) are in high demand and may not always be available. These times cannot be booked online, but if you’re interested, please reach out directly, and I’ll arrange your appointment manually if possible.
I do not offer in-person appointments. Your first appointment must be conducted via video. The choice between video or phone for subsequent sessions will be based on what is most appropriate for your situation and your preferences or needs.
I work with adults ages 18 & up.
If you are interested in therapy but do not live in Alabama, North Carolina, or Florida, or if you are outside the U.S., you can contact me to explore the regulations in your area regarding therapy provided by an out-of-state or out-of-country provider. Alternatively, as a Certified Life Coach, I offer non-mental health life coaching, which is not subject to state or country regulation or licensure requirements.
I am in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS), Aetna, and United Health Care, UMR, and Optum, and I will file these claims electronically to your insurance as a courtesy. All other plans will requirement full payment at time of services and I will give you a receipt for you to turn in to your insurance company for direct reimbursement.
Insurance benefits vary based on your policy coverage, and coverage is not guaranteed. Your plan may have exclusions, such as not covering telehealth services, not covering visits with a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, requiring you to meet a deductible, or contracting with a different entity for mental health services that I am not in-network with. Please feel free to contact me with any specific questions about your insurance coverage.
My specialties include, but are not limited to, PTSD/trauma, Adult ADHD, adjustment and transitional stress, grief and loss, anxiety and depression, and women’s issues.

In addition to being a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I hold certifications as a Clinical Trauma Professional, Integrative Mental Health Professional, and Life Coach. While I am currently providing counseling and coaching exclusively to individuals, my extensive experience and training in relational issues can be integrated into individual counseling and coaching.
Please note: I do not offer consultations for Emotional Support Animals (ESAs)
As an integrative therapist, I blend various therapeutic approaches to assist you in meeting your individual and relational goals. My foundation in systems theory allows me to consider the broader context of your relationships and environment. Traditional methods like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) help address specific thought patterns and behaviors.
My practice incorporates a trauma-informed perspective and is deeply rooted in postmodern techniques, including:
Narrative Therapy: This approach explores the language of your personal stories and helps reframe them to empower and transform your perspective. Through organic collaborative dialogue, we engage in meaningful conversations to co-create solutions and examine how societal and cultural narratives shape your identity and experiences. This process challenges and reinterprets these narratives, fostering personal growth.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT): SFBT centers on identifying and building upon your existing strengths and resources to address challenges and achieve practical goals. It focuses on exploring what is already working well in your life and using these insights to find effective solutions and foster positive change in a targeted and realistic manner.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): ACT supports you in accepting your thoughts and feelings while aligning your actions with your core values. It promotes psychological flexibility by helping you engage fully with life, despite difficult emotions. Through mindfulness and commitment strategies, ACT encourages living in accordance with your values and goals.
Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT): MBCT integrates mindfulness practices with cognitive strategies to enhance emotional well-being and cultivate conscious awareness. It aims to improve emotional resilience, manage thoughts and emotions more effectively, and foster a non-judgmental awareness of your experiences.
I also integrate insights from integrative mental health, neuroscience, and somatic therapy. Integrative mental health examines how factors such as nutrition, lifestyle, and your overall health affect your well-being. Neuroscience explores the role of the brain and nervous system in mental health, while somatic therapy emphasizes the awareness and management of bodily sensations to regulate and soothe the nervous system, highlighting how this process fosters emotional well-being.
In therapy, we work collaboratively, setting goals together, participating actively, and making decisions jointly. This partnership empowers you to take an active role in your healing process, ensuring a personalized and effective therapeutic experience. By incorporating a trauma-informed perspective, I create a compassionate and respectful environment that supports your journey toward healing and growth.
Your engagement and investment in the therapeutic process are crucial. While therapy can be validating and uplifting, it can also be challenging and uncomfortable at times. To achieve your goals, it is important to keep appointments, follow through with recommendations, and be open to working on the thoughts and behaviors that may be hindering your progress.
For telehealth appointments, additional identity verification measures are required, and you will need to inform me of your location during our session. Detailed information about telehealth guidelines can be found in the informed consent paperwork.
To increase access to mental health care and address specific issues more effectively, I have transitioned my practice to an exclusively virtual format using phone or video sessions.
I am licensed to provide therapy in North Carolina and Alabama, and I am a Registered Out-of-State Telehealth Provider for Florida. Teletherapy services can only be offered to individuals located in these states or in countries that do not regulate out-of-country counselors or therapists.
As a Certified Life Coach, I also offer non-mental health coaching services both nationally and internationally.
Please note that telehealth or online therapy may not be suitable for all cases, particularly those involving severe or persistent mental illness, crises, or situations with potential risks of harm. If you have questions about telehealth/teletherapy or life coaching, feel free to contact me for more information.
Yes! I am a Certified Life Coach and a Master’s level trained therapist who receives regular training in systems theory and post-modern methods that are solution- and goal-oriented. My training allows me to work with you as a life coach to help you meet specific, non-mental health-related, and/or time-sensitive interpersonal goals.
Empowerment in the areas of pursuing travel, adventure, getting out of your comfort zone, making big life decisions, exploring holistic alternatives to mind/body/spiritual wellness, developing and trusting your intuition, dream exploration, and identifying and pursuing life/career goals are among my life coaching specialties.
By law, all therapy sessions are confidential, and anything you discuss with me will remain private unless you sign a release authorizing me to share specific information with designated individuals or other providers. There are additional considerations for couple, family, or minor counseling, which are outlined in the consent forms.
However, therapists are legally required to IMMEDIATELY report to the appropriate authorities under the following circumstances:
These legal obligations ensure safety and protect vulnerable individuals.
You may use the contact form to send me an email or you may use the scheduling portal to register as a new client and request an individual appointment for yourself. Do not use the booking link to request appointments as a couple or a family, for your child(ren), or for other people.
